Sustainable deliveries

Might need a spare battery for this hill?

Sustainability will most likely elicit ideas around environmental stewardship, ingredients and product design and minimizing impacts.

Our deliveries are zero-emission by default and e-bikes are very low impact vehicles, both in terms of their presence in the city, as well as the resources required to maintain them.

Our services provide our clients with efficiency and peace of mind, saving them time and energy to focus on their core activities. Using time and energy effectively is also sustainability.

Long-term thinking in our own activities and business relationships is perhaps also a property of sustainability and something we strive for. We’re proud to say we have been working many of our businesses for years.

Case studies and examples F & B:

Veg boxes: Barcombe Nurseries

Every week we distribute around 200 veg boxes orders across Brighton & Hove.
A bulk delivery comes to us early Thursday and Friday morning, which leaves the person from Barcombe free to continue with horticulture on the farm for the rest of the day. This is the epitome of ‘Last Mile’ logistics. The trickiest, least efficient part is handed over to a partner, like Coastal Postal, who consolidate and create super efficient delivery routes.

Food deliveries, business to business:

B to B often requires timed deliveries. When you need to send produce to 3 or 4 cafes at the busiest time of the morning, or lunches to 3 Nursery schools on a 3 mile route, having a delivery partner takes the strain out of distribution.
No need to divert a member of staff away from the core activity, worry about who is able to drive, insure and park the vehicle, send produce in Uber taxis. We are happy to coordinate a day around these short windows of necessity. We love making the connections, and know how to plan around them to fill our day efficiently.

Market Stalls:

We’re happy to work with Breadwinners, a charity that supports Refugees with retail experience, through operating bakery stalls. We look after the market equipment, and deliver to the market sites each weekend, along with all the produce for the stall.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
